Bolton Wanderers star Fabrice Muamba has taken to his Twitter account for the first time since his cardiac arrest to thank fans for their support.
The 24-year-old midfielder, who was unconscious for three days after collapsing on the pitch during his team's FA Cup quarter-final match against Tottenham Hotspur last month, has stunned medical professionals with his recovery.
He also sent a good luck message to his team mates, writing on Twitter:
Muamba's heart stopped beating naturally for 78 minutes after his cardiac arrest on March 17 at White Hart Lane.
While he was recovering at the London Chest Hospital, his fiance Shauna Magunda reassured Muamba's many fans by posting a photograph of the smiling footballer on his Twitter page.
