National Housing Corporation is seeking to recruit well- motivated and suitably qualified candidates to fill the following vacant positions:

1. RE-ADVIERTISED - MARKETING AND RESEARCH MANAGER  (Ref.No.MRM/nhc/1)
The Marketing and Research Manager reports to the Director of Business Development and has overall responsibility for driving all marketing and research strategies of products and services offered by NHC. This includes, carry out research and development activities that assist in investment decision of both product offering and services to the appropriately defined segments. 



Specific duties include:·         
  • Drive external and internal marketing communication to continuously enhance the NHC’s quality positioning of products.         
  • Work with a wide cross-section of the NHC’s stakeholders (internal and external) to drive effective exchange of market intelligence.         
  • Coordinate all market research and development activities; hence generate market information that includes current market demands, trends and economic patterns that supports strategic and tactical decisions for the NHC.          
  • Coordinate all activities of Product / Brand Management and enhancement to support quality of the NHC’s portfolio of products and services.         
  • Develop and manage internal marketing product communication systems to ensure the entire NHC staffs are appropriately informed of the NHC’s products and services·         Assume responsibility for driving understanding of effective media strategies and the execution of media plans.           
  • Develop and manage product external marketing communication systems to ensure the NHC’s customers and general public are appropriately informed of the NHC’s capabilities to deliver brand / product performance promise.
Qualifications and Experience
The applicants should possess a Degree in Business Administration or equivalent qualification in related field. He/She must have at least 8 years of relevant work experience, 5 years of which at a senior level in a large company. A Postgraduate qualification will be an added advantage. He/She should be a Marketing practitioner with proven successful brands performance track records together with knowledge of Fast Moving Consumers Goods [FMCG], Real Estate or Financial Services Industry.  In addition, he/she must have good leadership, communication, negotiation and presentation skills.

2. SENIOR FRAUD INVESTIGATION OFFICER (Ref.No.SFI/nhc/2)
The Senior Fraud Investigation Officer reports to the Internal Audit Manager and has an overall responsibility for fraud investigations section and to assist the Manager in providing direct control and supervision of fraud investigations activities.

Specific duties include:·         
  • Manage the fraud investigations section of the department. 
  • Develop comprehensive practical programs and schedules for proactive and reactive fraud investigations.        
  • Evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of management controls.     
  • Determine areas of risk and appraises their significance in relation to operational factors.         
  • Schedule projects and staff assignments to comply with managements needs within the scope of the departments overall schedules.         
  • Review and approves the purpose, scope and approach for each fraud investigation project.         
  • Direct fraud investigations to ensure that professional standards are maintained in planning and accumulating evidences.
  • Counsel revenue officers responsible for fraud investigations to ensure that the approved objectives are met and adequate coverage is achieved.
Qualifications and experience:
The applicants should possess a Degree in Law, Accounting or Finance or its equivalent with at least 5 years relevant work experience in ethics and fraud investigation. He /She should have the ability to work on own initiative as well as part of a team, take proactive approach to identifying, applying and communicating new technical knowledge and auditing findings. He /She must have good analytical and an enquiry of mind together with high level of written and verbal communication skills.

3. INFORMATION SYSTEMS AUDITOR (Ref.No. ISA/nhc/3)
The Information Systems Auditor reports to the Principal Internal Auditor and has overall responsibilities for assisting the Chief Internal Auditor in providing direct control and supervision of Information system audit activities.

Specific duties include:·         
  • Manage and track the implementation of the internal and external audit findings, queries or recommendations on NHC’s information Systems.        
  • Administer and coordinate the information systems auditing activity in the department.       
  • Develop comprehensive practical programs and schedules for audit coverage in his area.         
  • Evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of the information systems controls in the organization.     
  • Determine areas of risk and appraises their significance and likelihood.      
  • Schedule project and staff assignments to comply with managements needs within the scope of the department overall schedules·         
  • Coordinate information systems audit schedules to avoid conflict with or duplication of, the external auditors work.
Qualifications and experience:
The applicants should possess a Degree in Computer Sciences or Information Technology or its equivalent with at least 3 years relevant work experience in a similar role. He/She should experience in system auditing, technical auditing, and has good analytical, problem and organisation skills. He/She should have a solid understanding of operating systems, applications and databases, such as UNIX/LINUX, Oracle and SQL database management systems, Windows Server, network security, and applications, particularly Oracle Financials, and Hyperion. Interpersonal skills and good communication are essential.

4. (10) SENIOR ENGINEERS  (Projects)  -(ReF.No.SEP/nhc/4)
The Senior Engineer reports to the Construction Manager and has specific duties as herein under:

Specific duties include:
  • Supervise Construction projects. 
  • Ensure quality of workmanship for construction works.
  • Monitor cost and time in Construction Projects.
  • Monitor risk elements in Construction Projects.
  • Conduct tests on building materials and components.
  • Assist in the preparation of long and short term plans.
  • Participate in preparation of project budgets.
  • Conduct/attend site meetings.
  • Participate in the preparation of annual plans and budgets of the Directorate.
  • Supervise repair and maintenance of buildings project and equipments 
  • Any other duties as and when assigned by the Construction Manager
Qualifications and experience:
The applicants should possess at least a first Degree in Civil/Environmental (or equivalent) Engineering with a minimum 5 years experience in construction together with managing construction projects. He/She must be registered with the ERB. He/She should have an extensive knowledge and experience in construction supervision, designing, costing and estimating of works. In additional, he/she should also have substantial experience on large scale developments. He/She must have IT skills including experience on design, scheduling and project management software.
