CRISP PACKET DRESS MADE BY FASHION STUDENT @ LEICESTER COLLEGE WINS THE SUSTAINABLE DESIGN AWARD...!!!
A dress made out of crips packets has won the Leicester College Sustainable Design Award 2011. Rebekah Kirkland, 23, designed a dress by stitching together hundreds of crisp packets for her end-of-year project at Leicester College. According to the Daily Mail, she gathered the packets from a collection box which she left for fellow students to fill, and though it was a tedious job, she says, it was worth it. The full-length dress took the student two months to complete and she had to wash all the crisp packets before sewing them together with a sewing machine.
