"May I remind you all that for me this was not about making it into the Top 10 only. This project goes beyond my title and beyond everything else we as Zimbabwe may accomplish at Miss World. May we never take the basic things we have in our lives for granted. Water and Sanitation. Zimbabwe can not afford to allow another life to be lost because of that! Sink a well in your community and change things! Please spread the message!"

Zimbabwe was the first speaker to take the floor. Her speech was about her work helping the fight against the cholera epidemic in her country as well as the importance of Beauty with a Purpose. Botswana wins over the audience with a rousing speech about tolerance and dispelling misconceptions. A massive round of applause for both girls!
