We would like to officially apologise to our public, press and supporters and most importantly the Zambian Embassy, Zambia National Tourist Board, our sponsors and artists for the events of the 5th of November. Due to circumstances sincerely beyond our control we were forced to cancel the Queen Of Zambia UK pageant. Under the circumstances we made every effort to try and secure alternative means to ensure the continuation of the show; however this was a near impossible task on the day of the event, and a situation that could not be avoided.
We understand that individuals came from afar in support of our plight and to celebrate this occasion with us, and it is with deepest regret that we apologise of the inconvenience this may have caused you all. All individuals that purchased tickets should have been already fully refunded and if not shall receive their full refund of their ticket purchases. No words can express the disappointment we as a pageant have in the outcome of the events and can only offer an apology and to try and compensate for the inconvenience this has caused to the public and most especially those that believe in the pageant and our plight to promote Zambia.
As Winston Churchill says “Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts” We might have hit a road block as a pageant however, we are a young pageant with plenty of obstacles ahead of us, although disappointed on behalf of all our supporters and those that came to the venue, we are not discouraged by the current events, we shall persevere, and work even harder to ensure we deliver for you as we always have in promoting Zambia as our plight reaches out to more than just the show that has had an unfortunate turn of events, but to keep flying the Zambian flag no matter what the obstacles we are faced with. The pageant is not about an individual, it is bigger than that, it is about a vision and hope for a country that we would like the world over to get acquainted with and love the way we do as a pageant. Our intentions are pure and thus our path is still yet to grow.
Thank you for the continued support; once again our sincere and most heartfelt apologies to all those that prepared and came to support the event.
Many thanks
Ethel Elaka
CEO
Queen Of Zambia UK
