Masindi is made up of a number of districts .Masindi Town, where their work is centred, is on the north western side. Masindi has a population of around 265.000 across an area of some 9,326 Km square. Masindi Town is the administrative centre of the district. It is a relatively small town with banks, an administrative and communication centre, small shops and a busy market. In the last few years a number of improvements and developments have occurred in the town. Additionally, in the adjacent district of Bulisa, deposits of oil have recently been found. This will possibly have an impact on the whole region, socially and economically.
