Chris Brown has been spotted hanging out and partying with Rihanna several times this week, including at her boss Jay-Z's concert at the Barclays Center last night in Brooklyn, fuelling speculation they have reconciled.

After rumours mounted that Chris has split from Karrueche, the singer has now confirmed the reports in a statement explaining his decision.

"I have decided to be single to focus on my career. I love Karrueche very much but I don't want to see her hurt over my friendship with Rihanna," Chris said in a statement released to GossipCop.

"I'd rather be single allowing us to both be happy in our lives."

Karrueche has been posting subliminal messages on Twitter all week, hinting that she and Chris have finally split, and she is said to be in the process of moving out of his house.
