The Carter's celebrated their fifth wedding anniversary in the Havana Cuba.
When the couple hit the streets of Police were called to keep the crowds at bay after they were mobbed by crowds of well wishers. The law enforcement officers arrived at the renowned restaurant La Guarida on Wednesday night. It is illegal for US citizens to visit Cuba as tourists, but thousands of Americans make the journey there for religious, academic or journalistic reasons ever year.
In the past, artists who were challenged by the government have said that they visited for cultural reasons, but Beyoncé and Jay-Z declined to speak to reporters, so the reason for their trip remains unclear.
