Simon Cowell was rumoured to have bought an engagement ring and drafted a pre-nuptial agreement before embarking on his annual Barbadian holiday.
But what was thought to have been a 'babymoon' with the 54-year-old's pregnant girlfriend Lauren Silverman, might turn out to be an 'imminent' beach wedding.
According to the Daily Star, the five-time Emmy nominee planned to tie the knot with the 36-year-old Manhattan socialite at the island's luxurious One Sandy Lane Saturday.
Sources at the posh Sandy Lane Hotel claimed that employees were asked to sign confidentiality agreements for the 'hush hush' function.
'We've heard Simon has arranged some sort of ceremony,' a resort guest told the UK paper.
'But everyone has been kept guessing and it's believed it could be some sort of blessing before the baby arrives. But you never know, it's all so secretive that everyone could be caught on the hop by a surprise wedding.'
The English presenter reportedly already got a marriage license from a Barbados magistrates court, and he's invited a large group of close friends to the Caribbean isle.
